Storytelling is about showing, not telling. Videos transform a company's mission, vision, and values into action.

How I Approach Video Producing

As a producer, I’m passionate about the art of capturing moments to elicit emotions that resonate with audiences. From concept development to post-production, my approach ensures that every frame is a masterpiece. As I develop creative briefs, storyboards, and lead videography teams, I’m constantly thinking about how to craft cinematic storytelling that exceeds expectations.

Yerba Buena Center for the Arts

Bay Area Now 9

To promote the Bay Area Now 9 exhibition, I traveled with freelance videographer Corey Marsau to interview 30 artists in their studios across the Bay Area for videos. During this project, I handled all pre-production arrangements including the filming schedule and timeline, travel plans, and budget. I served as the point of contact between the artists, curators, and Marsau and also led interviews with artists. After filming was completed, I reviewed transcripts to support Marsau with editing and led the review process for each video.

MU-Connector/When the land stands alone

As part of the promotion for MU-Connector/When the land stands alone, I developed a creative brief that outlined a content production timeline and deliverables. During the interview with Dohee Lee, I filmed her for videos that were used as a short promo for the performance and blog post highlighting Lee’s long-term relationship with YBCA.

Brett Cook & Liz Lerman: Reflection & Action marketing and gallery videos

YBCA Senior Fellows Brett Cook and Liz Lerman’s exhibition required videos that were featured in both the galleries and for promotional purposes. For this project, I was responsible for guiding freelance videographers Juan and David Topete on the messaging and goals for videos, planning days for filming b-roll, reserving spaces for interviews with the artists and staff, and coordinating the review process between marketing and curatorial departments. All videos were delivered on time and on budget.

YBCA 10

For over a year YBCA worked with 10 artists to create installations focused on health and well-being, racial justice, and climate equity. Using interviews filmed for other videos, b-roll, photos, and audio clips, I oversaw Visual Street Films’s creation of videos highlighting each artist. My work included filming additional b-roll, compiling content for Visual Street to use, gathering additional audio from artists, and facilitating the review process between marketing and programming departments.

The Monument as Living Memory

For over two years, Caleb Duarte’s The Monument as Living Memory transformed YBCA’s Plaza through collaborations with other Bay Area artists. In order to chronicle each iteration throughout the years, I worked with the curatorial department and freelance videographers Juan and David Topete to produce a video depicting the full story behind the artwork. During this project, I helped lead the direction of the storyline, made arrangements to film interviews with Duarte and YBCA’s curatorial team, and set up a timeline for filming interviews and b-roll.

Year in Review: 2021 at YBCA

To recap YBCA’s virtual and in-person exhibitions and programming, I led the direction of a video edited by VidMob. During this process, I provided guidance for messaging, styles, and themes in addition to compiling and sharing photos and b-roll of each program. I also conducted the review process with the marketing team and leadership.
