Starting a commitment to sustainable and ethical fashion practices can be very overwhelming. At times you might wonder how it can be possible. You wonder what you can do. You wonder is it enough? Doing a quick Google search on eco-friendly fashion companies can bring up a huge list, and although everything seems great, I have found that eventually, I read somewhere that a company is not as eco-friendly as I once thought. Before you get in over your head, consider incorporating sustainability into smaller pieces. Wherever you happen to begin your ethical fashion journey, whether it’s online, in a used clothing store, or reading a well-renowned blogger, here are a few resources to consider and select from. If you’re an ethical fashionista like me, you’re ready for April because of one specific reason. It’s not because you’re anticipating spring weather. It’s not because you’re one month closer to summer (although it is one month closer to May the Fourth). It’s because April is the month of Fashion Revolution Day. On occasion, I have made missteps like neglecting time for myself, but I’ve enjoyed making these affirmations a part of my everyday life. Continue Reading ›

How exactly can this be achieved? It’s not just recycling. Incorporating a few of these steps into your daily habits can assist you with showing respect to the environment: Continue Reading ›
March is known for being a month of green. Whether it’s St. Patrick’s Day or the beginning of spring, March is no doubt a time for this color. As I’m incorporating more “green” choices for a more conscious lifestyle, I have so far reflected on relationships and sustainability in my home. This past month I had a great deal of fun finding recipes and mixtures to make my own cleaning supplies and I was delighted to find many of the ingredients weren’t complicated to find. Memories of one of my favorite high school classes, A.P. Chemistry, came back to me as I researched mixes and combinations.
