Hiking in Kolob Canyons

During Labor Day Weekend, I found myself on a familiar trail. Hiking along a path in Kolob Canyons in the summer Utah sun, I began to have memories of walking through the water and viewing the spectacle of Zion National Park many years ago. Although many travelers’ Instagram accounts highlight Angels Landing or The Narrows, there is another side of Zion National Park that captured my interest this past weekend. Even though I hiked Kolob Canyons many years ago, I didn’t have vivid memories of it until I found my way back to the same trails and viewpoints during the holiday weekend. While I admire the spectacle of Zion National Park’s main entrance, Kolob Canyons has just as much to offer in terms of southern Utah’s incredible and incomparable scenery.
