My Christmas 2015 Wish List

When it comes to Christmas lists, do you have yours well in advance, or are you always thinking of one last minute?  For me, I’m always last minute.  Whether it’s giving my mom a few ideas or if I’m finishing up a D.I.Y. project for someone else, the result is always the same.  In the past I’ve grown a little tired of Christmas and had very little time to spend with family and friends to celebrate.  During past Christmas seasons, I was lucky if I took the time to think of anything other than a day to sleep in, lounge around in PJs and do absolutely nothing.  However, this year I’ve decided it’s going to be different and rather than delay my Christmas wishes and put celebrating this holiday on the back burner, I have a couple of Christmas lists ready:

Travel Wish List

Travel Wishlist

My first list begins with some necessary travel items I’ve been considering for a long time:

  1. Travel Scarf from Speak Easy Scarves: Designed and made by travel bloggers from Beers and Beans, I’ve decided this is a necessity to help carry all of my valuables. I wouldn’t mind seeing if other eco-friendly fabrics are available!
  2. Wallet from Global Goods Partners: I always seem to need a wallet although I don’t have a very organized one. This wallet not only looks small, but it’s stylish as well.
  3. Tote Bag from Raven and Lily: Although I have many tote bags, this one looks like a great size and sturdy material, plus it has a great print that I’ve fallen in love with!
  4. Bamboo Toothbrushes: After going Plastic-Free in July, this will be just what I need to live a more eco-friendly life.
  5. Fan from Ten Thousand Villages: It may sound strange to want a fan, but after being at the end of summer in Chicago, the one thing I wanted was a fan to carry with me as I wandered around the city. This fan would be fantastic for future destinations I’m looking into with heat and humidity!
  6. Collapsible Food Containers: Definitely a must now that I’ve set goals for myself in “Sustainable Goals for the Semi-Nomadic Life.”
  7. Re-useable Sandwich Bags: Recommended by other travel bloggers, these would be great to have to reduce my use and waste of Ziploc bags!

Clothing Wish List

Clothing Wishlist

Although I have lots of Spring, Summer, and Winter clothes, the one season I’m missing is fall.  After finding I had very little long-sleeve tops and dresses to transition into fall, I found a few options that suit my style:

  1. Dress and Top from Braintree Clothing: The great thing about these choices is that they are made of organic cotton and bamboo, great sustainable fabric options!
  2. Top from PeopleTree: One of the longest-running fair trade and organic brands, PeopleTree is becoming a favorite of mine for their retro style and prints. This top has great color and fun owl print.
  3. Leggings, Star Top and Leather Jacket from Shop Ethica: Another playful top for the colder seasons is why I’ve included options from Shop Ethica. Also, I’ve always wanted a leather jacket and this style would be great for both fall and winter.  As for the tights, I have a couple of Mata Traders dresses in mind to pair them with!

Jewelry Wish List

Jewelry Wishlist

My final items on my wish list are inspired by culture, travel, and just plain fun:

  1. Watches and Bracelets from Shop Ebbo: I realize this may not be an ethical brand, but I’ve gone crazy for these watches with a map and a saying on their bracelets to encourage me to keep pursuing my dreams.
  2. Necklace from Noonday Collection: Ever since I’ve seen Tagua and Acai necklaces, I’ve loved their sophisticated style. These neutral tones would be great to dress up any plain shirts and dresses.
  3. Scarf from Passion Lilie: I love practically all of Passion Lilie’s scarves, but I can’t take my eye off the print and colors of this one!
  4. Necklace from NOVICA: A simple, elegant and timeless jewelry piece I can see wearing over and over again, enough said.
  5. Coin Purse from PeopleTree: It’s ironic I want this coin purse, not because I love foxes, but because I have given some to my mom before. Perhaps it would be a nice way to think of keeping and storing some extra money for a special day.

I’m excited to say that this year for Christmas, I finally have wish lists for travel and fashion.  I hope the next time I’m on the road, I’ll have pictures of my latest finds to share with all of my readers.  For now, I’m getting ready to decide what to give others this year and finish seeing everything I want to see before I leave Chicago!

What’s on your Christmas wish list?  What has been the best gift you’ve ever been given?
