All About Brooke

Success copy

Hello there!  I’m Brooke and my blog explores culture and clothing from all over the world.  Is my blog about theatre?  Sustainable fashion?  Street fashion?  Art?  Travel?  It features all of these topics in order to discover culture throughout the world whether they are in a museum, backstage at a performing arts venue, or artisans weaving in a Vietnam village.  Why?  To enrich the lives of others and my own and share with the world the importance and value of respecting one another’s cultural backgrounds.

As a constant explorer, I’m always seeking what others overlook and love finding beauty in everyday life and fashion.  I encourage everyone to find the traditions and cultural heritage deeply embedded within threads of a community’s clothing that are often undervalued.  The more I travel, the more I encourage readers to think about how they live and travel with sustainability in mind and the stories they uncover. I hope that you will follow me as I discover and give a voice to those unique pockets of creativity that would otherwise be forgotten.

A Few Things About Me:

*I began my career in Costume Departments for regional theatre companies in Colorado, Oregon, Utah, and California.  During a summer in Piura, Peru with Run by Rural as an Innovation Fellow in Product Development and Marketing I found the importance of social enterprises and sustainable and ethical fashion.  From my experience, I want to continue to pursue my love of travel, fashion, and art but use my newfound marketing and writing skills to share these stories.

*My interests are as varied as my music tastes.  I always love to learn about history, culture, and literature and even majored in Biochemistry for a short time in college.  I enjoy reading, writing, crafting, creativity, listening to music (anything from Vivaldi to Jay-Z to Alternative Rock), swimming, jogging, hiking, photography, and yoga.

*I’m always ready to be on an adventure!

So, if you’re ready to join me on this journey, Travel with me around the world to Discover nature, culture, and artists to be inspired what they Create.
